Puako Church Dive Site

Puako is north of Kailua-Kona and the resort area of Kohala, south of Waikoloa. Several dive sites have been documented in the area, one of which is directly across the road from a church, thus named "Puako Church". Lava tubes are easily accessed from shore. We did two dives here. Young Airey joined us on the first dive, while Lynn watched the turtles basking on the lava shoreline. On the second dive, a white-tip reef shark joined us! Sorry, I was fascinated watching the shark, and forgot to snap the camera shutter!
